The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt is manufactured from N06075 nickel-based alloy, with size ranges covering 5/16 to 4 inches and lengths from 30 to 1000 mm. It complies with ANSI/ASTM and DIN standards and is classified as Grade A. Its exceptional tensile strength of 750 MPa and elongation rate of 42% ensure reliable performance in extreme environments. Additionally, the Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt offers excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for high-temperature and high-pressure applications in aerospace and nuclear industries. Whether in terms of performance or quality, this product meets the most demanding engineering requirements.

The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt is renowned for its excellent machinability, enabling efficient forming and performance optimization through various processing techniques to meet the stringent demands of different applications. Below is a detailed description of its machining performance:
1. Cold Working Performance
The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt exhibits good cold working performance at room temperature and can be formed through processes such as cold drawing, cold rolling, and cold forging. During cold working, the alloy’s strength and hardness significantly increase while maintaining a certain level of ductility. For example, after cold working, its tensile strength can exceed 900 MPa, while the elongation rate remains within the range of 20%-30%. This characteristic makes it suitable for manufacturing fasteners that require high strength and precision.

2. Heat Treatment Optimization
The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt can further optimize its performance through heat treatment. Common heat treatment processes include:
Solution Treatment: Conducted within the temperature range of 1050°C-1150°C, followed by rapid cooling (e.g., water quenching), effectively eliminating processing stress and improving the alloy’s uniformity and ductility.
Aging Treatment: Performed at 700°C-800°C, it precipitates strengthening phases, significantly enhancing the alloy’s high-temperature strength and creep resistance. For instance, after aging treatment, the alloy’s endurance strength at 750°C can exceed 200 MPa, meeting long-term usage requirements in high-temperature environments.

3. Forming Performance
The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt is easily processed into complex shapes through hot forming techniques such as hot forging and hot rolling. Within the temperature range of 950°C-1150°C, the alloy exhibits excellent plasticity and flowability, enabling high-precision forming. After hot forming, the alloy’s grain structure becomes more uniform, further enhancing its mechanical properties.

4. Machining Considerations
Due to the Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt’s high-temperature strength and work-hardening tendency, it is recommended to use high-performance tools (e.g., carbide or ceramic tools) during machining and apply appropriate cooling and lubrication measures to reduce tool wear and machining stress.

Strict control of process parameters is required during cold working and heat treatment to avoid grain coarsening or uneven performance.

The Nimonic 75 Stud Bolt is not only easy to machine and form but can also further optimize its performance through cold working and heat treatment, meeting the stringent requirements for high-strength, high-temperature, and corrosion-resistant fasteners in aerospace, nuclear industries, and other fields. Its excellent machinability makes it an ideal choice for high-end engineering applications.
