M3 SS316 Fastener is manufactured strictly to DIN933, 25 mm long, plain finish. Its resistance to chloride-ion corrosion far exceeds that of 304, making it ideal for marine, chemical, and other highly corrosive environments. Threads are precision-rolled and 100 % GO/NO-GO inspected, delivering stable tightening torque and enabling a long-life, secure connection at minimal cost.

Raw-material control is the first gate to guarantee the final performance of M3 SS316 Fastener, and its core lies in “purity + traceability”.

1. Melting route: M3 SS316 Fastener adopts duplex melting—primary AOD decarburization for chromium retention, followed by vacuum arc remelting (VAR) or electro-slag remelting (ESR). VAR solidifies at 1×10⁻² Pa to suppress nitride and carbonitride segregation; ESR remelts under a CaF₂–Al₂O₃ slag to remove brittle inclusions such as Al₂O₃ and TiN. Both routes keep the total A+B+C+D inclusion level per ASTM E45 Method D ≤1.0 grade, with a maximum single-particle size ≤13 µm, laying the foundation for head-cracking-free cold heading of M3 SS316 Fastener.

2. Composition refinement: for each heat, a sample is taken at 1 200 °C and verified by spark-OES plus ICP, ensuring M3 SS316 Fastener contains Mo 2.10-2.30 %, Cr 16.5-17.0 %, Ni 10.2-10.8 %, N 0.02-0.05 %. The calculated PREN = Cr + 3.3Mo + 16N ≥ 25, one point above the specification, giving M3 SS316 Fastener extra margin for 1 000 h salt-spray exposure.

3. Corrosion validation: per ASTM A262 Practice E, after sensitization at 650 °C × 30 min and 180° bending, no cracks appear and the corrosion rate is ≤1.0 μm/48 h, proving no chromium depletion at grain boundaries. A parallel G48A pitting test yields a critical pitting temperature CPT ≥ 20 °C, consistent with the PREN calculation for M3 SS316 Fastener.

4. Traceability file: every bar used for M3 SS316 Fastener is laser-marked with the heat number and linked to PMI spectra, corrosion reports, and VAR/ESR maps—achieving “one bar, one code” and enabling full traceability back to the electrode heat within 24 h. Through these controls, both base-metal purity and corrosion margin are elevated simultaneously, establishing a solid material foundation for 30 years of safe service life of M3 SS316 Fastener.
