A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt strictly follows the DIN933 standard, uses AISI 347 stainless steel, undergoes Class 1 solution treatment, and offers excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature creep. Its M12×70 fully threaded design and plain finish allow it to withstand severe service conditions without any coating, making A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt the preferred fastening solution for high-temperature, high-pressure flanged equipment in petrochemical, nuclear, and LNG industries.
To guarantee the quality of A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt, our production process is executed strictly under the PDCA cycle.

Production Process (P-D-C-A Closed Loop)
Plan: During the APQP phase, the target of “zero-defect, full traceability” is locked for every A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt. A control plan is established in accordance with NORSOK M-650, ASME B18.2.3.5M, and our internal PFMEA, ensuring that key characteristics maintain CPK ≥ 1.67 so that each A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt meets the highest reliability requirements.

Do:
① Raw Material — The billet for A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is produced by double-vacuum melting (VIM+VAR) AISI 347 with C ≤ 0.08 %, Nb = 10×C–1.00 %, N ≤ 0.010 %; every heat is sampled at ladle teeming to confirm the absence of coarse TiN inclusions.

② Hot Forming — The billet of A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is heated to 1100 °C by high-frequency induction and upset in one stroke with a forging ratio ≥ 3.5, ensuring continuous grain flow in the head; end faces are water-cooled for oxidation control, keeping scale thickness ≤ 5 µm.

③ Solution Treatment — A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is solution-treated at 1050 °C ± 10 °C for 30 min and water-quenched with ΔT ≤ 3 s; in-line infrared thermometry verifies grain size ASTM 3–6 and δ-ferrite ≤ 0.5 %.

④ Machining — A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is precision-turned 0.1 mm oversize to guarantee concentricity ≤ 0.02 mm; threads are rolled with 3A-class dies, root Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, inducing –480 MPa residual compressive stress on the thread surface to boost the fatigue life of A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt by ≥ 30 %.

⑤ NDT — Every A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt undergoes 100 % PT (ASTM E165) + UT (ASTM E213, 5 MHz dual-crystal probe) with a maximum flaw indication ≤ 1.6 mm; suspect parts are immediately isolated and examined by SEM.

⑥ Surface — A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is passivated per ASTM A967 Type II by default, passing 1000 h salt spray without rust; optional dry-film MoS₂ (μ = 0.08–0.11) or Xylan 1424 coating, cured at 200 °C × 30 min, film thickness 15–25 µm.

⑦ Final Inspection — Laser-etched QR code and batch number are linked to the MES; each A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is shipped with a 3.2 certificate: heat number, heat-treatment curve, tensile test, hardness, dimensions, and NORSOK M-650 traceability.

Check: Real-time SPC charts are displayed on the shop floor; critical dimensions (head width, thickness, pitch diameter) are sampled 5 pieces every 2 hours; any deviation triggers an 8D action to keep the A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt process under stable control.

Act: Monthly CFT review meetings update the PFMEA and control plan; customer feedback on A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt is responded to within 24 h, and CAPA reports are issued within 72 h, driving continuous improvement so that every A193 Gr. B8C Hex Bolt becomes a benchmark of zero-defect excellence.
