The UNS N07080 Nut is manufactured from high-performance Nimonic 80A material, compliant with ANSI/ASTM standards, and available in sizes ranging from 5/16 to 4 inches. Fatigue Performance  
The UNS N07080 Nut demonstrates superior fatigue resistance under cyclic loading, making it particularly suitable for high-demand applications involving long-term dynamic loads. Its excellent fatigue resistance is primarily attributed to its high nickel-chromium alloy composition (approximately 75% nickel and 20% chromium) and the addition of strengthening elements such as titanium and aluminum. These elements significantly enhance the material's fatigue strength through solid solution strengthening and precipitation strengthening mechanisms.  
 
1. Fatigue Limit and Fatigue Strength  
Fatigue tests conducted according to ASTM E466 standards show that, at room temperature, the fatigue limit of the UNS N07080 Nut can reach 40%-50% of its tensile strength (approximately 930 N/mm²), i.e., about 372-465 N/mm². This means that under cyclic loading below this stress amplitude, the UNS N07080 Nut can theoretically endure an infinite number of cycles without fatigue failure. At elevated temperatures (e.g., 540°C), its fatigue performance remains stable, with the fatigue limit decreasing by only about 10%-15%, demonstrating excellent high-temperature fatigue resistance.  
 
2. Fatigue Life and S-N Curve  
Fatigue life tests (S-N curve) reveal that the fatigue strength of the UNS N07080 Nut at 10^6 cycles is approximately 400 N/mm², while at 10^7 cycles, it maintains a fatigue strength of about 350 N/mm². This high-cycle fatigue performance makes the UNS N07080 Nut particularly suitable for applications involving high-frequency vibrations and alternating stresses, such as gas turbine blade fasteners and aircraft engine components.  
 
3. Crack Initiation and Propagation  
The uniform microstructure and grain refinement technology (grain size typically controlled at 10-20 micrometers) of the UNS N07080 Nut effectively inhibit crack initiation and propagation. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations of fatigue fracture surfaces show that cracks typically originate from surface defects or stress concentration areas. However, due to the toughness and uniformity of the UNS N07080 Nut, the crack propagation rate is significantly lower than that of ordinary alloy steels. Additionally, surface treatment processes (such as shot peening) further increase surface residual compressive stress, delaying crack initiation.  
 
4. High-Temperature Fatigue Performance  
At elevated temperatures (e.g., 540°C), the UNS N07080 Nut still exhibits excellent fatigue resistance. Its high-temperature fatigue strength at 10^6 cycles is approximately 300 N/mm², far exceeding that of ordinary stainless steels and alloy steels. This is mainly due to the stable austenitic structure and the presence of precipitation strengthening phases (such as γ' phase) in the UNS N07080 Nut at high temperatures.  
 
5. Application Scenarios and Reliability

6. Fatigue Performance Optimization
