Monel 400 U-Bolt is specifically designed for extreme corrosive environments. Crafted from special Monel 400 alloy, it offers excellent resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkaline media. This Monel 400 U-Bolt comes in specification M4, with a span width of 33 mm and leg length of 35 mm, and non-standard customization is supported. Suitable for shipbuilding, chemical pump valves, and offshore engineering fastening, it maintains high strength while completely eliminating the risk of chloride ion stress corrosion. It is a high-end preferred solution replacing ordinary stainless steel bolts.

What is a U-Bolt?
A U-bolt is a non-standard fastening connector shaped like the capital letter"U". It is commonly used to fix pipes, round bars, cables, or leaf springs onto walls, brackets, or beams. It consists of a U-shaped curved screw and threaded ends at both sides, used together with nuts. For example, for highly corrosive working conditions, the Monel 400 U-Bolt is irreplaceable in specific applications precisely due to its material properties.

Specific features and functions are as follows:
- Structural features: External threads at both ends, with a smooth curved arc segment in the middle. Some models have knurling or raised teeth on the inner side of the arc to enhance friction grip with the pipe, preventing axial sliding or rotation. Even for the Monel 400 U-Bolt made of high-nickel alloy, its basic mechanical structure follows the same principle.

- Core uses: Mainly used for pipe suspension and fixing (water pipes, air pipes, hydraulic oil pipes), automotive leaf spring fixing, and marine cable lashing. If involving seawater or acidic chemical pipelines, selecting the Monel 400 U-Bolt can significantly extend the system maintenance cycle.

- Installation method: Insert the pipe through the U-shaped bend, pass the two legs through the mounting holes of the bracket, and tighten the nuts to achieve a firm clamping force.

- Common materials: Carbon steel galvanized, stainless steel 304/316, and high-nickel corrosion-resistant alloys (such as the material used in the Monel 400 U-Bolt) for seawater environments.
Unlike conventional bolts that rely on head pressing, U-bolts provide an encircling clamping force, distributing the load on the pipe wall more evenly and avoiding flattening thin-walled pipes. For marine and chemical projects pursuing zero leakage risk and long-term operation, the Monel 400 U-Bolt is an ideal component ensuring the integrity of pipeline systems.
