Metal Nuts And Bolts: High-Performance Fastening Solution for Subsea Oil Production Equipment
Specifically designed for subsea oil production equipment, Metal Nuts And Bolts feature an enhanced combination of A193 B7 bolts and A194 2H nuts with yellow zinc coating. With a tensile strength of 860 MPa and excellent corrosion resistance, they comply with API 20E BSL-2 standards and are widely used in oil and gas field projects such as the Gulf of Mexico and the South China Sea.

Heat Treatment Process for A193 B7 Bolts (Quenching + Tempering)
As the core component of Metal Nuts And Bolts, B7 bolts achieve a balance of high strength and corrosion resistance through quenching and tempering.

1. Quenching Process
   - Heating temperature: 850–900°C, holding time 1.5–2 minutes/mm (controlled atmosphere furnace to prevent decarburization).
   - Cooling method: Oil quenching (cooling rate ≥80°C/s) to obtain martensitic structure (HRC 50+).
   - After quenching, Metal Nuts And Bolts must be cleaned immediately to ensure uniform tempering.

2. Tempering Process
   - Temperature: 600–650°C (600°C for strength, 650°C for improved toughness).
   - Cooling method: Air cooling to avoid secondary stress.
   - Final properties: Tensile strength ≥860 MPa, hardness HRC 22–30, meeting the long-term service requirements of Metal Nuts And Bolts.

Heat Treatment Process for A194 2H Nuts (Normalizing or Quenching + Tempering)
To match the B7 bolts in Metal Nuts And Bolts, 2H nuts undergo heat treatment to optimize strength and thread compatibility.

1. Normalizing Treatment
   - Heating to 900–920°C followed by air cooling, hardness HB 200–250. A cost-effective solution for medium to low loads.

2. Quenching + Tempering (Hardening and Tempering)
   - Quenching (850–880°C oil quenching) + tempering (550–600°C), hardness HB 248–302, ensuring 10–15% lower hardness than bolts to prevent thread galling.

3. Compatibility Testing
   - Metal Nuts And Bolts must pass ASTM F606 proof load testing to ensure no nut deformation.
   - Torque-tension testing verifies clamping force performance.

Special Process Controls
- Hydrogen embrittlement relief: Baking at 190–220°C for ≥8 hours after electroplating (compliant with ISO 15330).
- Residual stress testing: XRD or ultrasonic inspection ensures uniform stress distribution in Metal Nuts And Bolts.

Conclusion
Through stringent heat treatment processes, the B7 bolt and 2H nut combination in Metal Nuts And Bolts delivers high strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance, making them a reliable choice for deepwater oil and gas projects. Customized versions with special coatings or Inconel materials are available.
