M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt is manufactured to DIN 933 with a fully rolled thread and an exact length of 16 mm, maximizing engaged area. Forged from duplex stainless steel D2-80, it delivers a tensile strength ≥ 800 MPa and pitting / stress-corrosion resistance well beyond 316L. The natural, uncoated finish allows permanent, maintenance-free service in marine, humid or aggressive chemical environments, while the 16 mm length cuts assembly weight by more than 15 % in tight spaces. A single tightening provides stable high preload, making M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt ideal for seawater desalination, hydrogen equipment and premium kitchen appliances.

M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt, also in D2-80 duplex stainless (α-ferrite ≈ 50 % + γ-austenite ≈ 50 %), sets a new benchmark that surpasses 8.8 carbon steel, 2205, 201 and 304 in both strength and corrosion resistance. Key data are as follows:
1. High strength and yield
Per GB/T 3098.6 & ISO 3506-6, M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt offers Rm ≥ 800 N/mm² (measured 820–850 N/mm²), Rp0.2 ≥ 640 N/mm², elongation A50 ≥ 25 % and hardness HV10 280–320. Compared with 8.8 carbon steel (Rm ≈ 830 N/mm², Rp0.2 ≈ 640 N/mm² but prone to hydrogen embrittlement), M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt provides equal load capacity without hydrogen risk; its fatigue limit σ-1 (2×10⁶ cycles) ≥ 350 N/mm², 40 % higher than 304.

2. Corrosion resistance
M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt achieves PREN = Cr + 3.3 Mo + 16 N ≥ 34. Salt-spray tests (ISO 9227, 5 % NaCl, 35 °C) show no rust after 1000 h—corrosion rate only 1/3 that of 304. CPT in 6 % FeCl₃ solution ≥ 35 °C, exceeding 2205’s 32 °C and far above 201/304’s 10–15 °C. Chloride SCC threshold ≥ 320 MPa, ten times that of 304.

3. Anti-galling & low-copper design
M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt limits Cu ≤ 0.3 % to avoid copper brittleness, while high N (~0.16 %) disperses Cr₂N, lowering surface friction μ to 0.11 (versus 0.18 for 304). After four dry-tighten cycles at 20 N·m, torque drop < 5 % with no galling, outperforming 2205’s 8 %.

4. Life-cycle cost
Under salt-spray + cyclic loading, M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt offers ≥ 25 years maintenance-free life. Equivalent 8.8 carbon steel needs hot-dip galvanizing plus periodic re-tightening, raising 25-year TCO by 35 %. Compared with 2205, material cost is 15 % lower, work-hardening 20 % lower, and cold-heading die life improves 30 %.
Overall, M6-1 X 16 Hex Bolt leverages 800 MPa strength, PREN ≥ 34, μ ≤ 0.11 and zero maintenance to replace 8.8 carbon steel, 2205, 201 and 304 wherever both high strength and corrosion resistance are demanded, delivering weight reduction, service-life extension and cost savings.
