M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut complies with DIN934. It is made of highly corrosion-resistant SS316, has a height of 2.15-2.4 mm, and is supplied in its natural finish, giving a clean appearance. It is ideal for highly corrosive environments such as marine, chemical and medical applications, providing reliable assembly and long-term rust-free performance. It is the perfect fastening solution for precision equipment and high-end instruments.

To ensure that post-heat-treatment 316 stainless-steel fasteners (e.g., M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut, screws, etc.) maintain excellent straightness after annealing or solution treatment, follow the three-stage technical route below:
1. Pre-process prevention
• Use uniformly annealed wire rod or bar stock as the blank for M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut to reduce residual stresses.

• Before machining, subject the raw material of M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut to a stress-relief treatment of 650 °C × 2 h to fully release internal stresses and minimise subsequent heat-treatment distortion.

2. Heat-treatment process control
• Temperature: while ensuring the solution effect of M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut, adopt the lower temperature range (e.g., 1010–1030 °C) and shorten soaking time to limit grain growth and thermal stress.

• Cooling: prefer inert-gas (Ar/N₂) high-pressure quenching or 90 °C hot-oil graded quenching for M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut; the gentler cooling rate markedly reduces thermal and structural stresses.

• Fixturing and placement: long slender Stainless Steel 316 parts are hung vertically; thin-wall nuts are loaded in dedicated graphite fixtures to prevent stacking deformation; ensure uniform air/oil flow over every surface of M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut during cooling.

3. Post-heat finishing and inspection
• Immediately after annealing, straighten M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut by rolling or servo press cold straightening, keeping deformation ≤0.2 %; M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut with hardness <40 HRC can be cold-pressed directly.

• For M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut with high-precision requirements, apply a stabilising temper of 200 °C × 30 min to further stabilise dimensions.

• 100 % laser straightness inspection is performed on M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut; qualified parts undergo 100 % optical sorting, ensuring every batch of M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut achieves straightness ≤0.05 mm/100 mm.

Through this “before-during-after” closed-loop control, the straightness of M3 Stainless Steel 316 Nut after heat treatment is stabilised within 0.1 mm, meeting DIN934 and the assembly requirements of high-end medical and semiconductor equipment.
