Incoloy 825 Double End Stud is specifically designed for fastening requirements in extreme corrosive environments. Manufactured from a titanium-stabilized nickel-iron-chromium alloy (N08825), it offers excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, intergranular corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, with particular resistance to sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and seawater corrosion. This Incoloy 825 Double End Stud is strictly manufactured in accordance with the ASME B18.31.1M standard, providing a wide size range from M8 to M100 and flexible lengths (30-1000mm). Its microstructure presents a stable austenitic phase in the annealed condition, is non-magnetic, and maintains excellent yield strength and creep resistance at temperatures as high as 540°C. Whether used in chemical reactors, marine engineering equipment, or desulfurization systems, the Incoloy 825 Double End Stud provides long-lasting and reliable clamping force.

Incoloy 825 is a titanium-stabilized nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy.
ElementContent (%)Function
Ni38.0 - 46.0Provides a stable austenitic structure and forms the basis for resistance to stress corrosion cracking and reducing acids.
Cr19.5 - 23.5Forms a dense passive film, resisting oxidizing media (such as nitric acid) and high-temperature oxidation.
FeBalanceThe matrix element that balances cost and performance.
Mo2.5 - 3.5Significantly improves resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and enhances corrosion resistance in reducing acids.
Cu1.5 - 3.0Specifically enhances resistance to sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid.
Ti0.6 - 1.2A stabilizing element. Combines with carbon to prevent chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries, thereby effectively resisting intergranular corrosion, especially after welding.

Properties of Incoloy 825
1.  Excellent Corrosion Resistance: This is the most prominent advantage of Incoloy 825. It can handle a wide range of corrosive environments, from oxidizing to reducing conditions. Whether it is sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, or chloride-containing solutions and seawater, it performs exceptionally well. Its high nickel content makes it far superior to common 300-series austenitic stainless steels in resisting chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Therefore, the Incoloy 825 Double End Stud made from this material has become the first choice for fasteners in corrosive service conditions.

2.  Excellent High-Temperature Mechanical Properties: This alloy maintains good strength and toughness over a high-temperature range from room temperature up to 550°C. This allows the Incoloy 825 Double End Stud to provide stable and long-lasting clamping force even at high temperatures. Its typical mechanical properties are as follows:
    - Tensile Strength: ≥586 MPa
    - Yield Strength: ≥241 MPa
    - Elongation: ≥30%

3.  Good Workability and Weldability: Incoloy 825 can be cold-worked, hot-worked, and welded using conventional techniques. However, due to its high work hardening rate, cold forming may require greater equipment power or intermediate annealing. When machining or working with the Incoloy 825 Double End Stud, it is generally recommended to use nickel-based welding materials such as ERNiCrMo-3 and to pay attention to controlling heat input.

Application Areas
Incoloy 825 is used in many critical industrial fields, where the Incoloy 825 Double End Stud is widely used in:
- Oil & Gas Extraction: Downhole tubing, wellhead equipment, and fasteners in sour oil and gas wells.
- Chemical & Petrochemical: Heat exchangers, evaporators, storage tanks, and piping systems in phosphoric acid and sulfuric acid production.
- Marine Engineering: Seawater cooling heat exchangers, deep-sea production platform components, high-strength corrosion-resistant fasteners.
- Food Engineering: Process equipment handling salt-containing or acidic food products.
- Flue Gas Desulfurization: Scrubbers and related components in power plants and factories handling sulfur-containing flue gases.
