Mechanical Properties
The Color-Zinc Coated Allen Bolt, based on ASTM A193 B7 material, exhibits the following mechanical properties:
Tensile Strength: ≥860 MPa
Yield Strength: ≥725 MPa
Elongation: ≥16% (gauge length of 50 mm)
Reduction of Area: ≥50%
Hardness: HRC 22-32 (after quenching and tempering)
Impact Toughness: ≥27 J (Charpy V-notch impact test at room temperature)

High-Temperature Performance
B7 material maintains excellent strength and toughness at high temperatures. Below are its typical performance data at elevated temperatures:
At 400°C, tensile strength is approximately 650 MPa, and yield strength is approximately 550 MPa.
At 450°C, tensile strength is approximately 600 MPa, and yield strength is approximately 500 MPa.
Creep Resistance: At 450°C and 100 MPa stress, the creep rate is below 1×10⁻⁷ mm/mm·h.
Oxidation Resistance: At 450°C, the oxidation rate is below 0.1 mm/year.

Heat Treatment Process
The B7 material of the Color-Zinc Coated Allen Bolt typically undergoes quenching and tempering to achieve optimal mechanical properties:
Quenching Temperature: 850-900°C, oil or water cooling.
Tempering Temperature: 550-650°C, air cooling.
Post-treatment Hardness: HRC 22-32.

Corrosion Resistance
The chromium and molybdenum elements in B7 material provide excellent corrosion resistance:
Superior resistance to steam oxidation in high-temperature steam environments.
Good resistance to sulfide stress corrosion cracking in acidic environments containing hydrogen sulfide (H₂S).
Corrosion rate below 0.01 mm/year in water solutions with a pH of 6-9.

Surface Treatment
To enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics, the Color-Zinc Coated Allen Bolt can undergo the following surface treatments:
Zinc Plating: Zinc layer thickness of 5-15 µm, suitable for general corrosive environments.
Phosphating: Phosphate coating thickness of 2-6 µm, suitable for lubrication requirements.
Coatings: Such as epoxy or polyurethane coatings, suitable for extreme corrosive environments.
