Corrosion Resistance

Its unique chemical inertness provides excellent resistance to most chemicals and solvents. PTFE offers outstanding resistance to the majority of chemicals and solvents. It can withstand exposure to strong acids, such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid; strong bases, including sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide; and a wide range of organic solvents, including acetone, benzene, and alcohols. Making it an ideal choice for chemical, oil, and gas, as well as highly corrosive environments. According to laboratory test data, PTFE exhibits a mass loss of less than 0.1% after immersion in 98% concentrated sulfuric acid for 168 hours, demonstrating exceptional chemical stability.
