Key Design Features
At the core of our RTJ Insulation Gasket Kits lies a solid SS316 metal core. This austenitic stainless steel offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride attack, making it ideal for offshore, sour service (NACE), and high-temperature environments. The SS316 core is fully encapsulated or faced with high-performance G11 composite sleeves. G11 is a glass-reinforced epoxy laminate that provides outstanding dielectric strength (>15 kV/mm), high compressive creep resistance, and thermal stability up to 180°C continuously. This combination ensures that the gasket maintains both sealing integrity and electrical isolation under fluctuating pressure and thermal cycling.

Each RTJ Insulation Gasket Kit is supplied as a fully matched assembly (Type F configuration) including:
- G11 + SS316 core gasket – precision-machined to RTJ groove dimensions.
- G11 insulating sleeves – for bolt-hole isolation, preventing electrical bridging through studs.
- G10 isolating washers – high-strength glass-epoxy washers under the nut face.
- Zinc-plated steel washers – to distribute load and protect the G10 washers from galling.
- PTFE spring-energized seal – integrated into the gasket profile to provide low-leakage sealing (≤1×10⁻⁶ mbar·L/s) even at low bolt loads, with chemical compatibility across hydrocarbons, H₂S, steam, and mild acids.
