One-Minute Overview

  • Solid forged stainless steel blind flange that blocks a 6 inch joint.
  • Raised face and 150LB class, dimensioned to ANSI B16.5.
  • Forged construction gives strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Use to block or temporarily block a pipeline end.

The raised face blind flange closes a 6 inch piping joint with a solid forged plate instead of a matching pipe run. Dimensioned to ANSI B16.5 in the 150LB class, it mates with standard weld neck, slip on and socket weld flanges, and the raised face seals on the usual 150LB gasket. The forged stainless steel body adds corrosion resistance for plant piping in demanding environments.

Name: Raised Face Blind Flange
Size: 6"
Pressure: 150LB
Material: Stainless Steel (grade: 待补)
Flange Face: RF
Standard: ANSI B16.5

This blind covers industrial, commercial and residential piping where a line must be closed at the end or held shut temporarily. Use it at a header end, a future branch point, or across a valve while a section is opened for maintenance. Pick the gasket for the medium, bolt with stud bolting of the adjoining class, and tighten evenly in a star pattern so the raised face seals all the way round. Inspect the raised face for nicks before the joint goes back together.

FAQ

Q1. What do the raised face and the 150LB class mean at this joint?

The raised face concentrates bolt load on the gasket for a tight seal, and 150LB sets the pressure the joint may hold. Dimensioned to ANSI B16.5, this 6 inch blind matches standard flanges of the same class, so the usual 150LB gasket and bolting apply.

Q2. What would I actually use this blind for on site?

It blocks or temporarily blocks the end of a pipeline — at a header end, a future branch point, or across a valve while a section is opened for maintenance. Industrial, commercial and residential plant piping are all typical settings.

Q3. It is only a flat disk — what could possibly go wrong?

Plenty, if the gasket is wrong or the studs are torqued unevenly. Match the gasket to the service, bring the joint up in a star pattern, and follow your site torque procedure. Treated right, the forged disk seals for years.

What payment terms do you accept?

T/T, L/C at sight and other internationally accepted terms. The exact terms are agreed with you before production starts, because the payment schedule has to match the order value, the shipping method and the delivery schedule you need — which is also why we confirm them up front rather than after shipment.
