Quantity
High Temperature C4430 Gasket is cut from imported Klingersil C4430 sheet, a composite of aramid fibre and nitrile-bound rubber, ASME B16.5-certified and ex-stock in 6″-150LB size. Rated for 400 °C, oil-proof and creep-resistant, it is supplied together with G10 insulating sleeves and ZPS metallic washers to form a complete electrical-insulation & sealing system. Developed for high-temperature flanges in petrochemical and marine service, it delivers zero leakage after a single installation.
How do KLINGER C4430 and C4400 differ?
Both belong to the KLINGERSIL family, yet their application focuses are not the same. Six quick comparisons tell the story at a glance:
Both belong to the KLINGERSIL family, yet their application focuses are not the same. Six quick comparisons tell the story at a glance:
1. Reinforcement fibre
C4430 (High Temperature C4430 Gasket): glass fibre + nitrile rubber – “reinforced concrete” structure, crush strength >200 MPa, almost impossible to blow out at high temperature.
C4400: aramid fibre + nitrile rubber – “Kevlar armour”, higher toughness, tear- and notch-resistant, ideal for vibrating or slightly mis-aligned flanges.

2. Temperature limit
High Temperature C4430 Gasket: 300 °C continuous, 350 °C short-term.
C4400: 250 °C continuous, 300 °C short-term.
When steam exceeds 250 °C, C4430 is the first choice.

3. Sealing level
At 2 mm thickness and 50 MPa gasket stress, DIN 3535 leakage of C4400 is only 0.08 ml/min – roughly 30 % lower than High Temperature C4430 Gasket – giving a better seal for VOC or fuel-gas duties.

4. Chemical map
C4400 holds BAM oxygen 100 bar/80 °C, TA-Luft 200 °C low-emission, GL marine and many other approvals; it swallows acids, alkalis, oils and alcohols indiscriminately.
High Temperature C4430 Gasket is targeted at steam, oil and hydrocarbons; it is less stable in strong acids or chloride-rich environments than C4400.

5. Dimensions & price
Both sheets are 2 000 × 1 500 mm, thickness 0.5-3 mm on request.
Per equal area High Temperature C4430 Gasket is 8-12 % cheaper, but premium grades such as food-approved C4400L are available only in C4400.

6. Typical applications
High Temperature C4430 Gasket: 6″-150 LB steam flange in a refinery, 24 bar saturated steam at 280 °C, leak-free for four years of continuous service.
C4400: man-way gasket on a pharmaceutical reactor, 25 % acetic acid at 80 °C, TA-Luft low-emission required; no delamination or permeation after opening.

Summary:
“High temperature & high pressure – pick High Temperature C4430 Gasket; strong corrosion & low emission – pick C4400. When both factors matter, use the 250 °C line as the watershed and you will rarely go wrong.”
